Ogre

The idea is to be introduced to the ogre character through this portrait of him, presenting a somewhat bourgeois/elegant figure...

... Only to eventually see him as this burly, gruff and more stereotypicaly dumb figure.

The unkempt beard invoke a "Barbe Bleue" kind of appearance, while his constant smiling and very small eyes would betray a more simplistic, childish intellect.

The final turn. While keeping the overall shape from the previous design, I went for a gentler line, dots for the eyes and a smooth shaven look in order to reinforce his baby like nature. Closer to the painted portrait, too.
